A Naturopathic doctor attempts to investigate the underlying cause of disease and tailors an individual treatment toward this, rather than a treatment which suppresses symptoms. Naturopathic doctors also focus on disease prevention, self-care and strive to guide their patients towards optimal wellness. Naturopathic doctors will use a blend of centuries-old, natural, and safe therapies along with modern medicine to achieve this goal. Naturopathic doctors are primary care physicians who order labs, perform physical exams, diagnose and treat disease. They consult, interact and refer to all branches of medicine when appropriate.

Dr. Natalie Ham

I am a naturopathic medical doctor with a primary focus on women’s health and fertility, and homeopathy is the foundation of how I practice medicine. At Nourish, my vision has always been to create a space that feels warm, grounded, and restorative — a place where you can truly heal, inside and out.

I believe the body has an extraordinary capacity to heal when given the right stimulus and support. My work centers on identifying and addressing the deeper imbalance beneath symptoms so that patients can return to themselves — physically, emotionally, and energetically. When we remove the obstacle to cure and restore balance, we don’t just feel “less sick.” We become more fully ourselves — more present partners, parents, leaders, and contributors to the world around us.

My passion for this work began during medical school at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (now Sonoran University of Health Sciences), where I first immersed myself in the study of homeopathy. Under the mentorship of Dr. Stephen Messer, I witnessed what true healing could look like — not just the resolution of disease, but patients reconnecting with joy, creativity, vitality, and purpose. That experience shaped the way I practice medicine to this day.

After completing my medical degree, I pursued a family practice residency, followed by a second-year homeopathy-based residency under Dr. Messer — the first program of its kind in the United States. I later served as adjunct faculty and have continued to contribute to homeopathic education and research, including participation in clinical research on homeopathic treatment approaches.

Over the years, my practice naturally evolved toward women’s health, particularly fertility, perimenopause, painful or heavy cycles, PCOS, fatigue, and mood support. Walking alongside women through fertility journeys and hormonal transitions has been one of the most meaningful aspects of my career. Supporting women through fertility is especially meaningful to me, as it is a journey I have personally navigated in becoming a mother. It has shaped both my life and the way I care for my patients.

My commitment to homeopathy is also personal. During medical school, after years of struggling with insomnia, I sought care from a naturopathic doctor who practiced classical homeopathy. With an individualized remedy tailored to me, my lifelong insomnia resolved within one month — and has never returned. That experience solidified my belief in the body’s ability to self-heal when stimulated appropriately.

I founded Nourish Natural Medicine in 2015 to create a practice rooted in this philosophy. Our goal is not simply to replace medications with supplements, but to work at the level of true healing — stimulating the body to restore balance from within.

Outside of medicine, I love cooking and traveling with my husband, spending time with our dogs, practicing yoga, hiking, and constantly learning. I am always reading or listening to a new book or podcast and often share insights from my own growth journey with my patients. Arizona spring is my favorite season — blooming desert air, outdoor yoga, hiking weather, and the energy of renewal.

Healing is possible. It’s my privilege to help guide you toward it.

Dr. Miriam Wheeler

ND, DHANP(DABHM)

I am a licensed naturopathic doctor in Arizona, California, and Vermont. I treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions for adults. My passion lies in helping patients reclaim their health so they can enjoy life fully. Being a naturopathic doctor (ND) is the best of both worlds for me; my training allows me to diagnose and treat patients, and I also have the freedom and time to really get to know my patients as people. I customize treatment plans for each individual patient, which improves their results.

I didn’t always aspire to be a doctor, though I did hope to find a rewarding career that helped people. This discovery happened while attending the University of Arizona for my undergraduate studies. A couple years into college, I was between majors. I took an introduction to human nutrition class and was fascinated by the way the body utilizes nutrients from the foods we eat. I switched my major to nutritional sciences because I enjoyed these classes so much, and planned on becoming a registered dietitian. While working at a local hospital as a diet aid, I quickly realized this was not the fulfilling career track I sought; registered dietitians play a crucial role in the healthcare system, but I wanted to work with patients from a more holistic and comprehensive perspective.

At this time, I was completely unaware of naturopathic medicine. While searching online for a new doctor to help me with my own health issues one night, I stumbled upon a naturopathic doctor’s website. Naturo- what?! After researching this approach and learning about the principles of naturopathic medicine I immediately knew this was not only the type of doctor I wanted to see for my own health concerns, but the career path I had been looking for. The fall after graduating from UA, I began the 4-year accredited ND program at Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly SCNM)  in Tempe, AZ.

During my time as a student at Sonoran, I was re-introduced to homeopathy. My initial introduction to this form of medicine was actually in a biology class at UA years prior. One of our assignments in this class was to research and debate controversial topics within the scientific community, and I was assigned to the opposing group for homeopathy. It wasn’t until my time at Sonoran however, that I learned how effective this medicine actually is. Now it’s one of the therapies I rely on the most for patients because of its safety and efficacy.

After graduating from Sonoran, I completed three years of residency. Unlike MD and DO programs, residencies are not required for naturopathic doctors. There are a limited number available in North America, and they are highly competitive. I was fortunate enough to be selected for two years of Sonoran’s Naturopathic Family Practice Residency, followed by a one-year specialty residency in homeopathic medicine. Only a handful of naturopathic doctors in the country have completed the homeopathy residency, the only of its kind, which was funded by Standard Homeopathic and supervised by the esteemed Stephen Messer, ND, DHANP. I was the first of Dr. Messer’s residents to be awarded this as a third-year position. In 2022, I earned my diplomate status (DHANP) in Hahnemannian homeopathy, and later became certified as a homeopathic specialist by the Arizona  Naturopathic Physicians Medical Board.

Since completing residency, I have continued to teach part-time at Sonoran. I also serve on the Board of Directors for the HANP (Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians) and the Board of Directors for the ABHM (American Board of Homeopathic Medicine).

In the summer of 2019, I moved my private practice to Nourish Natural Medical Center in Phoenix. I am so grateful to have found a location that provides a calm, friendly, and healing environment for my patients.

If you’re looking for a doctor who takes the time to listen and answer your health questions, and you are ready to become the best version of yourself, you’re in the right place. I’d love to work with you and help you live life more health-fully!

I’m a licensed naturopathic doctor in the beautiful state of Arizona. I am passionate about getting to the root cause and creating a strong foundation to health. I believe we all have the innate ability to heal when given the right tools and removing the obstacles to cure.

I have gone through my own health journey when I discovered I was suffering from an untreated chronic condition and dismissed by the western medical community. I found a naturopathic doctor that got to the root cause of my issues and I started my healing journey, which led me to become passionate in caring for people who suffer from chronic conditions such as EBV, mold illness, Lyme disease, POTS, MCAS, metabolic dysfunction, and environmental illness. By going through my own health concerns, it has allowed me to be more understanding and compassionate towards my patient’s struggles and meet them where they are.

I am passionate about environmental medicine, non-toxic living, sustainable and regenerative farming and agriculture, and utilizing nature for healing. I love educating my patients on all these things and helping them on their non-tox journey as well!

I obtained my medical degree from Sonoran University (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine) in Tempe, Arizona. Prior to medical school, I graduated from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia with a B.S in Biology with a focus in chemistry. I primarily focus on autoimmune conditions, mental health concerns, and chronic disease. I primarily utilize homeopathy, lifestyle changes, nutrition, botanical medicine, and nature cure. I am here to optimize your health and get you back to your most fulfilling life.

My love for nature and the natural world has only helped grow my love and passion for naturopathic medicine. I hope to allow my patients to get back to the roots of natural living. When I am not seeing patients, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, hiking, traveling, attending concerts, and spending time with my partner and our two Italian Greyhounds Joey and Jerry and two kitties Piper and Pixie.

I am so glad you are here and I am excited to be here with you on this journey!

Dr. Linna Goelz

I am a licensed naturopathic doctor who believes the body has an innate ability to heal when given the proper tools and environment. I use homeopathy, botanical medicine, mind-body medicine, nature cure and other naturopathic therapies to strengthen and revitalize this innate healing ability in my patients as I support them on their journey back to health. I am passionate about helping patients achieve a deeper, lasting level of healing so they can feel like themselves again. Being unwell can take up a lot of energy and time.

By promoting genuine healing and a return to self, I can empower my patients to take this energy and time back so they can instead use it towards creating the authentic, meaningful life they deserve

As a physician, my main passion is treating mental health concerns of all kinds, but especially adolescent and young adult mental health. I have successfully treated anxiety, depression, insomnia/sleep disturbance, ADHD, panic attacks, fatigue and more. I also love treating women’s health concerns such as painful, heavy, irregular, and/or absent periods, PMS, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), perimenopause, menopause, acne, hair loss, and more. My other interests include GI health, headaches/migraines, and acute illnesses.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver, I pursued my Naturopathic Medical degree at Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly SCNM) in Tempe, AZ. I then went on to complete a competitive general medicine residency at Bastyr University in San Diego before returning to Arizona for a second year of residency specializing in homeopathic medicine. These 2 years of residency provided me with in depth training above and beyond the rigorous 4-year medical program and better equipped me to serve you as a doctor. Since completing my homeopathic residency, I have stayed on at Sonoran University teaching homeopathy to the students and running a clinical rotation.

When I am not seeing patients or teaching, I enjoy spending time in nature, traveling, practicing yoga and Qi Gong, meditating, hiking with my dog, Mowgli, and making tie dye.

If you are interested in working with me, please reach out to schedule an appointment or a free consultation. I can’t wait to meet you and start your path to healing together.

“I’m forever grateful to Dr. Goelz and the great staff at Nourish Natural Medical Center.”
“I was getting the runaround with my current doctor and taking tests to figure out my health concerns, and nothing has helped me. I decided to research homeopathy and came across this amazing center, and I’ll never look back!

I’ve had a transformative experience with Dr. Goelz at Nourish Natural Medical Center. She is incredibly caring and attentive, always taking the time to listen to all my health concerns. I had been struggling with a persistent cough for three years, which has significantly improved under her care—it’s nearly gone. Additionally, my childhood asthma, which resurfaced after COVID, was causing me to use my inhaler over four times a day. I now use it no more than a couple times a week, if truly needed.

Nourish Natural Medical Center has become my go-to for all my health needs, and I’m truly grateful for the remarkable progress I’ve made. Did I mention that it has only been 2 months since my first appointment with Dr. Goelz?! She’s done more for me than my doctor that I’ve had for over 20 years.”

Naturopathic Education

Naturopathic education is overseen by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education which has accredited four schools to provide this education in the United States. These schools are:

The medical profession requires that all graduates pass board exams to become licensed in their state to practice medicine. Naturopathic doctors are held to national standards of practice, peer review and continuing education.

All Naturopathic doctors receive education similar to traditional doctors in the diagnosis of disease. It is the investigation of the cause and the treatment of diseases that differ. Although each Naturopathic Doctor will be unique in how they focus their individual therapies, all are educated in: clinical nutrition, homeopathy, physical manipulation, environmental medicine, herbal medicine, Chinese medicine, hydrotherapy, natural childbirth, pharmacology and minor surgical procedures.
